Storden voters get boatload of candidates for city election

Suddenly, the Storden city election has taken on plenty of added flavor for 2020.

Late Tuesday afternoon, after the Citizen went to press, two more candidates filed for office, both incumbents. Mayor Glenn Johnson filed for re-election, as did Councilman Jim Westerman.

That means there are three mayor candidates in Storden: Johnson and newcomers Amy Halland and Melvin Forseth.

In addition, there are three candidates for two city council seats: incumbents Gale Swenson and Jim Westerman and newcomer Travis Halland.

For more on area filing, watch windomnews.com and see the Aug. 12 Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition.
