Area fisherman catches a tough break

An early-morning fishing trip resulted in a tough day for a 23-year-old Worthington motorist.

Deputies received a report of a car fire at the intersection of County Road 15 and 310th Street, near the Murray County line. According to the report, the 23-year-old Worthington motorist was on his way to go fishing when he noticed smoke coming out of his 2015 Ford Taurus.

The driver opened the hood and saw that the engine was on fire. The vehicle was a total loss.
