Huberts treasure century farm
Take a drive past the Geraldine Hubert farm three miles south of Lamberton, and one instantly gets the feeling, "there's a lot of history here."
From the traditional bowed barn roof, to the stately multi-level farmhouse, the barn-red paint that adorns most of the out buildings, including the barn, this farm place is steeped in history. In 1916, it was purchased by Gust and Willimnia Hubert, the parents of John Hubert and grandfather of Sherman Hubert, Geraldine's late husband.
The farm recently gained the status of Century Farm. Unfortunately, that occurred after Sherman's passing in 2017 at the age of 80.
