Work on Highway 30 in county begins July 13

The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced Thursday that improvements to Highway 30 through the county will begin July 13.

The project will run from the Murray/Cottonwood County Line near County Road 7 eastward to Highway 71, going past Westbrook, Storden and Jeffers.

The project includes adding two-foot paved shoulders and repairing culverts.

Cost of the project is just over $4 million. Knife River Corporation from Sauk Rapids was awarded the project.

Anticipated completion of the project is in October.
