Butterfield Threshing Bee canceled for first time in history

They've had days rained out and they've even sloshed through a soggy weekend, but weather could never do what the COVID-19 pandemic has done in 2020 - cancel the Butterfield Threshing Bee.

For the first time in the 54-year history of the Bee, the Butterfield Threshermen's Association has decided that the 54th Bee will have to wait until 2021.

"It's a disappointment that we had to cancel - and everybody feels the same way," said Mike Hall, president of the association.
