Free food distribution scheduled for Wednesday in Windom

United Community Action Partnership, in coordination with BARC and Windom Area Schools, is holding a free food distribution Wednesday at Windom Area High School.

The distribution is for families in need as part of a COVID-19 food assistance program from Second Harvest Heartland.

Distribution of food is from 3-5 p.m. in the school's west parking lot, near the Blue Gym.

Households will receive one box of produce, one box of mixed dairy products and one box of chicken and pork.

At Friday's Cottonwood County Commissioners' meeting, commissioner Donna Gravley said that there was enough food for roughly 700 families and that no registration was required.
