4/10/2020 7:44:00 AM Highway 71 pre-construction work starts Monday; Lane closures anticipated
Highway 71 motorists can expect to see lane closures between Jackson and Windom beginning Monday as crews do minor culvert work in preparation for the May 4 resurfacing and bridge replacement project.
Construction on Highway 71 from Windom to Highway 30 is also expected to begin May 4, but that resurfacing work will take place with traffic controlled by a pilot car. Motorists can expect lane restrictions and brief delays until early July.
A detour will eventually be needed between Jackson and Windom, due to a box culvert replacement north of Jackson.
