Cottonwood County COVID-19 count remains at five
Cottonwood County's number of positive COVID-19 cases remains stable for the third straight day, but some neighboring counties saw numbers grow.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, Cottonwood County's count of positive cases remains at five. Jackson County also remained stable with just a single case.
Meanwhile, Brown County increased to five cases, Watonwan increased to four cases and Martin County increased to 33 total cases. In addition, Redwood and Murray counties reported their first positive cases of the virus.
Statewide, Monday's update said there are 986 positive cases of COVID-19 in the state and there have been 30 deaths. There are 223 cases that have required hospitalization, with 115 currently hospitalized and 57 in intensive care. There are 470 cases no longer requiring self-isolation.
The state also began listing long-term care facilities that had seen positive cases of COVID-19. According to the MDH, there are no long-term care facilities in Cottonwood, Jackson, Watonwan, Brown, Redwood or Murray counties that have seen positive cases. In Martin County, Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn had reported a positive COVID-19 case.
