State parks remain open -- campgrounds, rental facilities closed
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reminds state residents that state parks remain open to the public for recreational use during the Stay Home MN executive order.
However, all campgrounds, lodging and rental facilities at those state parks remain closed, and will remain closed until at least May 1 to coincide with the order by Gov. Tim Walz.
State park visitors can purchase daily or yearly passes online before visiting, or can purchase passes at self-pay stations at the park entrances.
However, several state parks have seen increased usage during the Stay Home MN order, so park-goers are reminded to practice safe social distancing.
