Courthouse tuck-pointing to begin Monday

A needed tuck-pointing project on the Cottonwood County Courthouse will begin Monday -- much earlier than originally planned.

At Friday's special commissioner's meeting, board chair Kevin Stevens said the contractor was on site Thursday to inspect and informed the board that work could begin on Monday.

The earlier timeline for the project was because the other major project for the contractor for the spring is a hospital. Work on that hospital project cannot begin until the COVID-19 threat has subsided, allowing for the courthouse project to move to the top of the list of projects.
