4/2/2020 11:04:00 AM BREAKING: Cottonwood County up to five cases of COVID-19
The Minnesota Department of Health announced Thursday morning that there are now five confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cottonwood County.
According to Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services, the new cases in Cottonwood County are a 51-year-old and a 16-year-old. Both of the new cases had previous contact with a person with a confirmed case.
DVHHS added that two of the five cases in Cottonwood County have been removed from self-isolation protocol.
The state of Minnesota reports 742 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 18 deaths from the virus. 75 patients are currently hospitalized with 38 listed in intensive care. 373 patients no longer require isolation.
Watonwan County has three confirmed cases. Brown County reports two cases, Jackson County has one case. Martin County reported 29 confirmed cases of the virus. There are no confirmed cases in Redwood, Murray or Nobles counties.
