Windom City Council struggles with first online meeting

The Windom City Council's first-ever online meeting was a bit of a struggle, Mayor Dominic Jones later admitted.

However, Jones said the council will use the same Zoom online meeting system for next Tuesday's meeting and expects improvement.

Sound issues plagued Tuesday's meeting--which featured some participants at city hall and some taking part via their home computers. It appeared the city hall sound system, used with the council's television broadcast was not compatible with the online system. At times, participants could not hear voices of Jones, Councilman James Nelson and others who were at city hall.

For more on Tuesday's council meeting, see the April 8 Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition.
