Jeff Dahna, general manager of Windomnet, announced moments ago that Windomnet will offer free WiFi hotspots during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dahna gave the following statement to Citizen Online:
"During this extraordinary time, it is vital that as many Americans as possible stay connected to the internet--for education, work and personal health reasons. Our employees also live and work in this community that we serve. And, we all share the same belief that we want to step up and help out.
"The Coronavirus Crisis Windomnet WiFi Hotspots that Windomnet has setup are in three outdoor locations within the city of Windom and are available at no cost to anyone who needs them--including non-Windomnet Internet customers."

To comply with social distancing, public hotspots are located next to convenient vehicle parking lots at the Windom Arena, 1408 8th Ave.; Windom Community Cente,r 1750 Cottonwood Lake Drive; and Island Park baseball field.
