2/27/2020 4:39:00 PM New permit process required for wind projects in county
Going forward, Cottonwood County will require developers of wind farms to obtain permits before temporarily widening rural intersections to accommodate transporting turbine blades and other large equipment.
Cottonwood County Commissioners approved a request by Nick Klisch, highway engineer, to charge a $300 fee for a permit. The cost will cover county inspection.
