In a matter of days, area voters will head to the polls for the state's new presidential primary election.
Cottonwood County officials are well-prepared, confident this first-time contest doesn't capture national scorn in the way Iowa's caucus debacle did a few weeks ago. Auditor-treasurer Donna Torkelson said much of it is treated the same as any general election, with a few important exceptions.
