Windom officer's quick actions save child's life

Hudson Back, 18 months, is alive today thanks to the quick actions of Windom Police Officer Ryan Hillesheim.

It is a call that neither Hillesheim, nor the boy's mother, Cassidy Back, will ever forget. Hillesheim said the instant he knew a blockage needed to be cleared, his training kicked in.

"Once Hudson started to cry and get that vomit up, the officer was trying to reassure me," Cassidy recalled. "He(Hillesheim) said, 'This is a good thing. He's breathing. He is OK.' "
