Quilters' project gifts items to Crisis Center
Several months worth of work was donated to the Cottonwood County division of the Southwest Crisis Center last week.
Thanks to the work of members of the Windom-based Cotton Quilters quilt club, the Crisis Center received a number of hand-made quilts, pillowcases, hot pads, bibs and tote bags, as well as pillows. Those items will be given to children and families experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic violence.
In addition, the quilting group used winnings from its 2018 Festival of Trees entry to purchase more than 200 diapers that they also donated to the Crisis Center.
For more on their project, see the story on the Faith & Family page in the Dec. 11 issue of the Cottonwood County Citizen on newsstands tomorrow.
