Glenn Lund to lead water, wastewater department

As a crane rumbled just a stone's throw from his office, Windom water and wastewater superintendent Glen Lund chuckled at a question about what he expected in his first year leading the department.

"There are a lot of challenges out there," Lund said with a grin. "We will be busy, that's for sure."

Lund was officially promoted by the Windom City Council last week. And while he's not one to shy away from big tasks, Lund, 64, has been with the department for 23 years, so he has a good idea of what lies ahead.
