Wild Ponies opens 2019-20 Prairie Wind Folk series

Wild Ponies opens the 2019-20 Prairie Wind Folk Music and Bluegrass Association concert series Saturday in the BARC Library.

The BARC Library is located at 1012 5th Ave., in Windom.

The concert begins at 3 p.m., and admission is free, thanks to eight local business sponsors and a Remick Foundation grant.

This is Wild Ponies' first appearance in the Prarie Wind Folk Music concert series, which is beginning its 16th season. The Nashville-based couple of Doug and Telisha Williams have always looked to Southwest Virginia, where they were born and raised, for musical inspiration.

For more on the couple, see the story on the Faith & Family page in the Nov. 13 issue of the Cottonwood County Citizen on newsstands tomorrow.
