9/4/2019 9:15:00 AM Shalom Hill Farm replaces annual fall festival with Volunteer/Project Days
Shalom Hill Farm has some good news and bad news with the fall season just around the corner.
The bad news is there won't be a fall festival in 2019.
The good news is the farm is holding a celebration, of sorts. On Saturday and Sunday SHF is holding Volunteer/Project Days.
What is Volunteer/Project Days, you ask?
This year the former fall festival weekend has been transitioned from welcoming guests for a meal, music and fundraising event to a call for volunteers to help with multiple projects and cleaning at the Farm.
Saturday also coincides with the Evangelical Lutheran Church's national day of service called, "God's Work, Our Hands Sunday." If any ELCA people are still looking for a service project that weekend, you need look no further.
However, this event is open to all and especially anyone who knows, loves and wants to support Shalom Hill Farm. It is not just an ELCA event.
