Windom EDA looks to spark commercial rehab

It has been some time since the Windom Economic Development Authority has had much money to spend on projects.

Most often, the EDA looked to the city's general fund to help out whenever needed. However, all of that is about to change with a sudden influx of $547,937.

The funds are linked to an initial EDA expenditure of $634,000 to develop North Windom Industrial Park. The expenditure was ultimately repaid through Tax Increment Financing.

For more on this story, see the July 10 Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition.
