Minnesota Memorial Traveling Wall arrives at BARC

Starting at 9 a.m. to day, the Minnesota Memorial Traveling Wall will spend the weekend at the BARC building.

Leo Voss of Fulda has created three walls--the Minnesota Memorial Traveling Wall with the names of Prisoners of War and Missing In Action from Minnesota in World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War; the Vietnam POW/MIA Memorial Traveling Wall with names of all POWs and MIAs; and the Korean Memorial Traveling Wall, again with all 8,216 names of POWs and MIAs.

The walls, created on high gloss black boards with white borders, are mounted on wood A-frame stands. The names, three-quarters inch tall, are typeset in high gloss white.
Each panel is 4-by-8 feet.

For more on this and other Windom Riverfest events, see the June 5 Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition.
