3/14/2019 10:29:00 AM Wet conditions force city officials to close street
It appears the recent melting and rainfall are having an effect on some portions of the community.
Windom Street Superintendent Brian Cooley made the following announcement at 8 a.m. today: "We are closing a portion of Township Road (a narrow partially gravel street that runs behind Shopko) this morning. It (the water) is two feet deep just south of 16th Street.
"There is nowhere to pump the water to and it is up to the railroad tracks on the east side across the tracks. Do not attempt to drive through it. Your vehicle will stall out and you cannot tell where the road is."
