School board OKs new bus contract
(Today's updates: 9 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 3:05 p.m.)
Five years ago, Windom Area Schools charted new territory by selling its bus fleet and contracting busing services with an outside company.
That company, Palmer Bus Services of Mankato, has been such a good fit for the district that at Monday's school board meeting, the district approved a new four-year contract with the company.
Actually Palmer Bus Services was the only company that submitted a quote. The new agreement is for an estimated $727,000 per year, an increase of about $33,000. The agreement carries annual increases based on pupil state aide increases.
