The Windom Area school board will hold a special meeting Tuesday, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Windom City Hall council chambers.
The board will act on a resolution determining the necessity of issuing general obligation bonds and calling for a special election. This resolution would include the proposed ballot question and establish the polling location for a special election.
Ihe board is also set to act on a resolution establishing the location for absentee voting and an absentee ballot board.
If the resolutions pass, a special election would be scheduled for May 8, asking voters to approve a bond of $23.95 million for construction of a new elementary school, an addition to the Middle/High School for career and technical education courses and repurposing of current career/tech education areas in the school.
