Sen. Vickerman receives award for public service

As state Sen. Jim Vickerman of Tracy prepares to retire from the Legislature after his 24th session, he will do so knowing that his work as a public servant has been appreciated.

Sen. Vickerman recently received the Walter and Joan Mondale Award for Outstanding Public Service from his colleagues and friends at the Legislature.

"It has been a true honor to serve southwestern Minnesota,"
said Sen. Vickerman. "I hope that my service over the past 24 years has been a benefit to my constituents. I am extremely grateful for this award and I hope that it is a true reflection of my work in the Legislature."
