County's absentee ballot count sees dramatic increase

As the days trickle down toward Election Day, the number of absentee voters continues to grow in Cottonwood County.

"As of now, a total of 1,340 ballots have gone out," County Auditor-Treasurer Donna Torkelson told Citizen Online Monday. "We have already accepted 650 ballots."

Six-hundred-fifty is roughly the number of absentee ballots the county processes in a normal year, according to Assistant Auditor Brenda Anderson.
