BREAKING: Baker murder trial postponed

The trial date for the infant murder case involving Zachariah Baker of Windom has been postponed as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, according to Cottonwood County Attorney Nick Anderson.

Baker has been charged with second degree unintentional murder. The murder trial was initially set to begin Thursday at the Cottonwood County Courthouse.

The charge is related to the July 8 death of Baker's child, who was less than two months old at the time. Baker, 25, also faces a third-degree assault charge.
