South Central Electric makes progress on power outages

Officials from South Central Electric reported this morning that crews have made significant progress on restoring power to rural homes in the region.

According to a Sunday night report from SCE, the heaviest hit areas were: Midway, Odin, Cedar, Kimball and Springfield townships. Those areas had more than a 150 broken poles.

Officials from SCE also offered this message to customers: "If you don't have power please call our outage number 888-805-7232. If you are running a generator you will have to shut it down before you can verify power was restored."
