The West Fork of the Des Moines River in Windom continues to flow at the 20 feet mark.

At 9:30 a.m., today, the Des Moines River, measured at the County Road 15 bridge near the Windom Country Club, was at 20.15 feet. Over the weekend, the river rose to a 20.45 feet, but has since dropped .3 feet.

Nevertheless, lowland flooding has continued in the grassland along River Road across from 15th Avenue, which leads to the high school. Water continues to rise to the outfield fence at the Island Park baseball field.

A total of .14 inches of precipitation was recorded in Windom over the past 24 hours and more rain is expected throughout the afternoon.

The river through Windom was at its lowest point on April 6 at 19.37 feet.
