Windom city snowplows to begin plowing at 4 a.m. Monday

Windom snowplows will begin clearing streets at 4 a.m. on Monday morning, according to Windom Street Superintendent Brian Cooley.

Cooley is asking all residents to make every effort to keep their cars and garbage/recycling containers off of city streets while the plows are out. When plows are forced to plow around cars, it ultimately causes more snow to be left in the roadway (even after the cars are removed), further constricting the streets. This creates a dangerous situation for motorists.

Watch windomnews.com for updates on the weather situation and for future reports about city snowplow activity.
