BARC to host new family craft/vendor fair Saturday
Area families are encouraged to reserve Saturday on their calendars for "Windom's Winter Wonderland Craft/Vendor Fair" at the Business, Arts & Recreation Center in Windom.
The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the BARC Gym and BARC Library.
Admission to the craft/vendor fair is free.
The event, which brings in a variety of local homemade crafts for sale as well as commercial product vendors, is being billed as a family event, says Greg Warner, BARC coordinator.
"This is geared toward, first of all, making Windom a destination and also being able to celebrate Christmas with your family," Warner explains. "It's very family-oriented. You can bring your kids, they can see Santa, make ornaments with your kids, or they can make them while you shop."
Indeed, the fair will have activities for both children and families. For starters, those children who haven't had the opportunity to visit with Santa or have their picture taken with him, can meet the Jolly Old Elf from 9 to 11 a.m., or 1 to 3 p.m. Santa will have a candy cane for each boy and girl who comes to see him.
