Sandbags being moved from storm sewers

With the rain moving through the area Tuesday, city crews have been temporarily moving sandbags away from storm sewer drains.

The sandbags are being moved to allow streets to drain properly to prevent street flooding.

Sandbags will be moved back once the rain passes through the area and the streets drain.

Sandbags currently by homes should not be removed.

The clay dike currently on River Road will be removed today because of the rainfall. The clay could potentially wash onto the roadway and create a slippery road.
