BREAKING: MDH, CDC survey teams may be in Windom

Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control may be conducting a door-to-door survey in Windom in the coming days.

MDH selected 180 random communities in the state to test the prevalence of the COVID-19 virus. Officials will be in those communities, asking residents to submit to an interview and testing, both for COVID-19 and for antibodies.

The Windom Police Department noted that teams conducting the survey will be wearing protective gear and will have credentials identifying them as part of the survey team.

The survey and tests are completely voluntary. Residents can refuse to participate. MDH officials do urge households randomly picked for the study to participate.
