Windom officials to make decision today regarding city building closures

It appears Windom residents will learn today how the city of Windom will handle offices and services after Friday.

All city buildings--with the exception of River Bend Liquor--are currently closed to the public until Friday. Mayor Dominic Jones alerted Citizen Online last night that a decision will be announced today (likely this morning) on what will occur at city buildings on Friday and in the days and weeks beyond that point.

Although River Bend Liquor is open, customers are being asked about health conditions at the door and there is a limit of five customers inside the building at one time. Liquor stores are among the sites listed as essential services under the state's new Shelter in Place rule announced yesterday.

Later today, windomnews.com will provide an update on this story. Also check the April 1 Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition for much more on the local impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.
