Luverne 21-25-21 = 0

The Windom Eagle volleyball team faced a battle against a much-taller team, but the Eagles rallied to remain undefeated, sweeping Luverne 3-0 Thursday at Windom.

The Eagles fell behind early in each set, but got back on track behind strong serving. Windom fired 15 ace serves as a team, while the aggressive serving kept Luverne’s offense off-balance and forced numerous Cardinal hitting errors.

Sadie Tjentland led the way for the Eagles, blasting 11 kills and six ace serves. Ali Lund added four ace serves and 26 set assists. Kenzi Meyeraan had 13 kills and two ace serves. Lund and Olivia Joyce each finished with eight digs.
