Windom went three-and-out on its next drive before Pipestone again turned the ball over on downs. After the Eagles were held to three-and-out, a mishandled snap on a punt gave the Arrows first-and-goal from the 10. Three plays later, Zayne Zollner scored on a 5-yard run for a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.
Windom was pinned deep in its own end and had to punt from its own 1-yard line, setting the Arrows up at the Eagle 16. Four plays later, Zollner scored on a 3-yard run for a 21-0 lead.
The Eagles were able to move the ball past midfield on its next drive, turning the ball over on downs. Pipestone took over and drove deep into Eagle territory, but a bad snap on fourth down resulted in a turnover on downs, ending the half.

Again, Windom drove across midfield but turned the ball over on downs.
After forcing the Arrows to three-and-out, Pipestone shanked the punt, giving Windom the ball at the Pipestone 42. An 11-yard run and a facemask penalty gave the Eagles the ball at the Arrow 12, when Easton Miller hit Keaton LaCanne for a 12-yard scoring strike with 7:48 left on the clock. Rodrigo Hernandez booted the extra point, cutting the deficit to 21-7.
After forcing a turnover on downs near midfield, the Eagles tried to strike quickly. A 48-yard pass from Miller to LaCanne gave the Eagles first-and-goal at the 8. A facemask penalty on a sack made it first-and-goal from the 6, but the Eagles misfired on a pair of passes, and back-to-back sacks ended the drive.
A lightning flash as the Eagles’ drive ended sent the game into a 30-minute weather delay. When play resumed, the Eagles’ Royce Smith recovered a fumble at the Pipestone 22, but the Eagles were unable to cash in the drive, turning the ball over on downs and allowing Pipestone to run out the clock.
