Carter Smith, a 43-year-old Windom man, is facing 10 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material in Cottonwood County District Court.
According to the criminal complaint, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Jeffers owned by Smith. Electronics owned by Smith were seized in the search. A search of the electronics revealed sexual images involving children.
Each of the 10 counts carries a maximum possible sentence, if convicted, of five years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.
