The Windom Pirates received the top seed for the Region 10C amateur baseball playoffs.
The top five seeds in the region received byes into the quarterfinals, which will begin July 29. The bottom six seeds began best-of-three series Wednesday night.
The Pirates will open the playoffs July 29, hosting either eighth-seeded Fox Lake or ninth-seeded Lakefield in a best-of-three series. Game one will be at Island Park, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Game two will be July 31 at the lower seed at 7:30 p.m. Game three, if necessary, will be Aug. 2 at Island Park, beginning at 2 p.m.
The seeds for the tournament are:

5. Hadley
6. Jackson
7. Worthington
8. Fox Lake
9. Lakefield
10. Pipestone
11. Heron Lake
While waiting to begin the playoffs, the Pirates will play two non-league games. Windom travels to Leavenworth tonight (Thursday), then travels to Springfield Sunday.
