The Windom Legion Post 206 baseball teams will begin postseason play this week with the sub-sub-state tournaments.
The Sr. Legion team was seeded third in the sub-sub-state and will host Jackson tonight at Island Park, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The winner of Thursday’s game will play against Slayton Friday at 2 p.m. in Luverne.
Elimination games will be at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday in Luverne.
Sr. Legion sub-sub-state play wraps up Saturday with the championship at 10 a.m. and third-place game at 12:30 p.m. The top four finishers from the sub-sub-state advance to the sub-state tournament, which begins July 16 at St. James.
The Jr. Legion team was seeded fourth in the sub-sub-state and will face Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Sunday at noon in Slayton in the opening round. The winner advances to face top-seeded Slayton on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for the top seed. The loser of each game on Sunday will face off Monday at 6 p.m. in Slayton in a seeding game for the sub-state tournament.
The Jr. Legion sub-state tournament will be played beginning July 19 at Ruthton.
