Great weather helped bring strong crowds to Windom’s Riverfest.
Riverfest board member Jean Fast said attendance was strong throughout the weekend and most events went as planned, helping the celebration exceed expectations.
“It was fantastic,” Fast said. “It was just a great weekend.”
The celebration opened Friday with Family Fun Night, which drew a large crowd despite the threat of rain.
Fast said organizers served 479 people during Friday’s hamburger meal and 22 picnic tables were set up for the crowd. By the end of the meal, every table was full.
