The Windom Area School Board honored three recent district retirees and heard a report on district attendance during Monday’s board meeting.
Three staff members recently retired from the district after a combined 42 years of service.
Food service employees Bonnie Vande Hoef, who served 27 years, and Brenda Pullar, who served 10 years, retired along with paraprofessional Susan Rempel, who served five years.
Board members thanked them for their service. Board Chairman Angie Klassen presented Pullar, the lone retiree in attendance, with a small gift.

Bryan Joyce, high school principal, presented the district’s 2025-26 absence percentages. Overall, the district recorded an 87% positive attendance rate.
Joyce said that means 87% of students across the district were regularly present, a number he was pleased to see.
