Section 3AA Girls Tourney First Round
The Windom Eagle girls finished in 11th place as a team Wednesday at the opening round of the Section 3AA Tournament, played at Oakdale Golf Club near Buffalo Lake.
The Eagles finished with a team score of 443.
Individually, Ali Lund led the Eagles, shooting a first-day score of 92 to advance to the second day of the tournament in a tie for 16th place.
Kenzi-Ella Johnson finished tied for 41st place with a 104, followed by Sophia Herding with a 123 and Graycee Baloun with a 124.
The top five teams advance as a whole to the second day of the tournament. Minnewaska was the day-one team leader, shooting a 315. Marshall (355), New London-Spicer (358), Paynesville (380) and Fairmont (395) also advanced to the second day of the tournament as a team.

Red Rock Central’s girls golf team has one qualifier for the second day of the Section 3A Tournament, after the opening round of the tourney was played Wednesday at GreatLife Golf Club in Worthington.
RRC finished the opening day in seventh place in the team standings, shooting a 466.
Individually, RRC junior Jorga Brown heads to the second day of the tournament in the lead after shooting an 84 during the opening round.
Josie Timm shot a 117, followed by Abby Evans with a 132 and Paige Wondercheck with a 133.
The top four teams advance to the second day of the tournament as a team. Murray County Central leads after the opening day, shooting a 388. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (402), Minneota (430) and Lakeview (434) also advanced in team competition.
Section 3A Boys Tourney First Round
Red Rock Central’s boys golf team has one qualifier for the second day of the Section 3A Tournament, after the opening round of the tourney was played Wednesday at GreatLife Golf Club in Worthington.
RRC finished the opening day in ninth place in the team standings, shooting a 399.
Individually, RRC senior Finn Batalden advanced to the second day of the tournament, where he currently sits in second place after shooting an opening-day score of 78.
Max Erickson shot a 104, followed by Aiden Prechel with a 108 and Brekken Determan with a 109.
The top four teams advance to the second day of the tournament as a team. Minneota held a one-stroke lead in the team competition after the opening day with a 340. Lakeview (341), Canby (352) and Southwest Minnesota Christian/Edgerton (363) also advanced to the second day as teams.
