Mt. Lake Area/Comfrey jumped to a commanding lead early and kept on the offensive pressure Thursday, rolling to a 12-2 victory over Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian in Edgerton.
The Wolverines scored in five of their six trips to the plate and slugged out 15 hits in the win.
MLAC got on the board in the first, scoring on singles from Khalid Fontanez and Jason Wright.
In the second, two runs scored on wild pitches before Tryton Khounsanthone launched a solo home run for a 5-0 lead.
Landon Simon, Heber Morales and Fontanez added RBI singles in the fourth. Khounsanthone hit an RBI single in the fifth. Then, in the sixth, Khounsanthone and Morales had RBi singles and a run scored on a wild pitch.
Khounsanthone and Morales each had three hits in the win.
Thomas Hesse twirled a three-hitter in the complete-game win, walking one and striking out eight.

Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove ran into a hot-hitting team Thursday, as the Falcons dropped a 14-2 decision to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in Ruthton.
The Falcons were held without a hit in the game.
RRC/WWG scored two runs in the top of the first inning. After a pair of walks, Trenton Blomgren plated a run with a fielder’s choice grounder, with the second run scoring on a throwing error.
But the Knights answered in the bottom of the inning, sending 14 hitters to the plate and scoring nine runs.
RTR added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth, sealing the win.
Braxton Weber took the pitching loss for the Falcons, working two-thirds of an inning.
