TUESDAY TRACK: Eagles, Chargers compete at Trojan Relays

Trojan Relays Class AA

The Windom boys placed fifth and the girls seventh in the Class AA standings at the Trojan Relays, held Tuesday in Worthington.

The Eagle boys finished with 72 points. Fairmont won the meet with 174½.

The Eagle girls scored 49 points. Fairmont won the meet with 179.

Individually, the Eagle boys were led by Trent Rothenberger, who placed first in the shot put (43-10). Nolan Tjentland placed second in the 1,600 (5:00.44) with Caelen Ralston third (5:02.10). The 4×400 relay team of Elliot Serreyn, Bryce Green, Caelen Ralston and Braylen Lyons placed second (3:38.58).

For the girls, Theora Ahnupkana set a career-best to win the discus (121-9), with Lilly Meyer finishing in third (107-3). Makenzi Meyeraan was third in the 100 (13.39). Haidyn Sammons took third in the 300 hurdles (52.35).

Trojan Relays Class A

Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central’s girls placed fourth and the boys sixth in the Class A standings at the Trojan Relays, held Tuesday in Worthington.

WWG/RRC’s girls finished with 104 points. Southwest Minnesota Christian/Edgerton won the team title with 145.

For the boys, WWG/RRC finished with 58 points. Murray County Central won the team title with 189½.

The WWG/RRC girls were led by Ally Linder, who won the shot put (32-3½). Miranda Mischke was second in the high jump (4-8). Paige Wondercheck placed second in the 400 (1:08.71). Addison Warner was second in the 1,600 (6:01.31).

For the Charger boys, Bowen Hesse captured first in the 110 hurdles (16.41). Adrian Yang was third in the pole vault (11-6). Grant Binnebose placed third in the triple jump (35-9¼).
