The Windom Fire Department responded to a report of a gas leak late Friday morning in Windom.
The leak was reported near the intersection of First Avenue and Seventh Street, where a street construction project is currently taking place.
Because of the leak, McDonald’s, Duffy’s and Scooter’s — all in the area near the leak — were evacuated and closed until the leak is repaired.
Crews are on hand to try to repair the leak, however no timeline for when the work will be completed was given.
