The Windom Eagle softball team came from behind twice Tuesday, rallying to sweep a doubleheader from Redwood Valley at Redwood Falls.
The Eagles won the opener 8-7, then took the nightcap 7-4.
In the opener, the Eagles trailed 3-0 after three innings and trailed 7-4 going into the top of the seventh before plating four runs for the come-from-behind win.
The Eagles got on the board in the top of the fourth when Anja Nielsen slugged a two-run home run.
Miranda Peterson added an RBI single in the fifth and Nielsen hit her second home run of the game in the sixth, making the score 5-4 at the time.
Trailing 7-4, the Eagles rallied in the seventh. Alivia Letcher hit a one-out RBI double. Ember Struck followed with a two-run double to tie the game. With two outs and the bases loaded, Leah Smith knocked in the winning run with a single.
Nielsen and Gracie Buckentin each had two hits in the win.
Nielsen picked up the pitching win, allowing 12 hits and striking out seven.
In the nightcap, the Eagles again fell behind early before rallying with seven unanswered runs.
Redwood led 2-0 after one inning, then plated a pair in the top of the fifth to take a 4-0 lead.
The Eagles cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the fifth, as Nielsen smashed her third home run of the day to drive in a pair of runs.
Windom then rallied for five runs in the bottom of the sixth. Struck hit an RBI single. Then, with two outs and the bases loaded, Addison Evans delivered a two-run double, giving the Eagles the lead. Smith followed with a two-run single to seal the win.
Struck had three hits in the win. Smith added a pair of hits.
Nielsen picked up the pitching win, allowing 11 hits and three walks while striking out four.

Mt. Lake Area/Comfrey raced to an early lead and scored a pair of runs late, icing a 12-2 six-inning victory over Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain Tuesday in Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines blew the game open in the second inning, scoring nine runs.
MLAC got on the board in the bottom of the first on an error.
In the second, Ellamae Peters ripped a bases-clearing triple, Ashlyn Pfeiffer had an RBI single, Kylie Phommachan hit an RBI groundout, Nadia Phommachan hit an RBI double, Adleigh Olson had an RBI single, Mikaya Schroeder hit an RBI double and Julia Brinkman had an RBI single.
Nadia Phommachan added an RBI single in the fifth. Phithsada Phoumivong then hit an RBI single in the sixth to end the game via the 10-run rule.
Brinkman led the Wolverines with four hits. Peters and Olson added three hits each.
Pfeiffer picked up the pitching win, allowing five hits and three walks while striking out two.
