Redwood Invite
The Windom Eagle boys placed sixth and the girls were 10th at the Redwood Invitational, held Tuesday in Redwood Falls.
Windom’s boys finished with 58 points. The Eagle girls scored 39 points. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet won both team titles at the meet.
Windom’s boys were paced by Braylen Lyons, who captured first in the 400-meter dash (51.94). Elliot Serreyn finished second in the high jump (5-10). Bryce Green was third in the 800 (2:09.69). Nolan Tjentland was third in the 3,200 (11:01.40). The 4×800 relay team of Green, Isaac Bordewyk, Tjentland and Lyons added a first-place finish (8:57.59).
For the girls, Lilly Meyer placed first in the discus (110-0) with Theora Ahnupkana third (105-7). Haidyn Sammons added a runner-up finish in the 300-meter hurdles (52.12).
Panther II Invite
Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central’s girls and boys each placed seventh at Tuesday’s Panther II Invite, held in Tracy.
The Charger girls scored 29 points. WWG/RRC’s boys finished with 33. Hills-Beaver Creek won both team titles.
The Charger girls were paced by third-place finishes from Asa Olson in the triple jump (28-5½) and Amana Smith in the 800 (2:54.65).
For the boys, Bowen Hesse placed first in the 110 hurdles (15.45) and third in the 300 hurdles (46.80). Adrian Yang was second in the pole vault (10-6).
SJM Invite
Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin’s girls were fourth and the boys fifth at the St. James/Madelia Invite, held Tuesday in St. James.
The Maverick girls scored 26 points. The boys finished with 30 points. Fairmont won both team titles.
Individually, Evelynn Christenson led the girls, winning the 800 (2:43.91) and taking second in the 1,600 (5:51.67).
For the boys, Lixon Forsberg won the long jump (18-7). Brody Cook placed second in the 3,200 (12:00.10).
