A roof replacement project at the Business, Arts and Recreation Center in Windom got a jump start Tuesday, courtesy of Cottonwood County Commissioners.
At Tuesday’s meeting, the county board approved a seed capital loan of $50,000 for BARC, which will allow the facility to begin the roof replacement project within weeks.
The loan program is through the Blandin Foundation. The county board acts as the governmental agency to oversee the disbursement of funds.
The $50,000 loan will be at a 4.75% interest rate with a term of three years, with a balloon payment at the end of the term.
