Aalliyah Anthony, 24, of Mt. Lake has been charged in Cottonwood County District Court with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, as well as misdemeanor domestic assault.
According to the criminal complaint, a Mt. Lake police officer was dispatched to a home on March 27 for an assault in progress. Upon arrival, the officer encountered Anthony at the rear door of the residence, where a male victim claimed that Anthony attempted to stab him with needle nose pliers and caused damage to his truck with a brick.
The officer observed a broken phone charger and needle nose pliers on the driveway, as well as a broken brick with red paint transfer. The victim stated that Anthony used the brick to damage the tailgate of his truck.
If convicted on the felony charge, the maximum possible sentence is seven years in prison, a $14,000 fine or both, with a sentence of not less than one year and one day in prison.
